DSA

DeadStar Assembly are about to launch their musical delirium into the masses once again with their first tour in over two years. The band will embark on a 20 city U.S. tour with Team Cybergeist feat. Angel Bartolotta (Dope) on select dates, in support of their third studio effort "Coat Of Arms" to be released on April 13th 2010. The band recently signed with "Spiralchords" which will see the album debut in Europe this coming May.

Produced by DeadStar Assembly & Jeremy Staska (Poison The Well, New Found Glory) and Mastered by Adam Ayan (A Perfect Circle, NIN, Linkin Park), "Coat Of Arms" is a stylistically refined record with definitive edge, a menacing yet mature unrestrained aural assault which features a tsunami of guitars, razorblade vocals, blazing leads and big hooks. The group will lens the video for the first single "The Darkest Star" in March with Director "Darkhak" at the helm. Tour dates are as follows - Team Cybergeist supports*

The Return of the Electronic Messiah

DeadStar Assembly continue to toil away in the studio putting the final touches on their much anticipated 3rd release "Coat Of Arms" which promises to deliver the DSA sonic assault that is sure to satisfy fans both new and old! The group will be releasing a new version of the fan proclaimed fav "Breathe For Me" and Mubo recently stepped into the studio to lay down tracks for the remake.

"Breathe For Me" will always be one of my favorites states Dearborn, I am very proud of it, the song has true meaning, it has connected with thousands of fans throughout the world and has given them strength during times of personal struggle.

So why re record such a DSA classic?

"The song has really evolved on the stage over the years, we wanted to release a new version that would be of better production value and have the essence of the songs massive live sound, I think we definitely captured it! Mubo's added melody and strings has really brought new depth to the track, and the lead guitar Dreggs laid down for the outro is simply stellar. I can't wait for our fans to hear where we have taken the new Breathe!"

DeadStar Assembly To Release "Coat Of Arms"

Ft. Lauderdale, FL - DeadStar Assembly are currently holed up in the studio putting the finishing touches on their upcoming 3rd release which is definitely a new chapter for the band, states Dearborn the groups lead vocalist.

"Once we finished our 3rd tour in support of Unsaved, we took time off to finish our Dark Hole Sessions DVD Vol. 2 as well rip out some Unsaved remixes to keep the music end of things intact. Remixing was a cool collaborative process that ended up getting featured on the new DVD. We were creatively busy with several ideas for our next release. We developed a new line of DSA Merchandise to act as a promotional marketing tool for the new record, it started to set the stage. The "Coat Of Arms" TShirts, Hoodies along with the "Blood Bags" Baby Tees and TShirts and other Merch items weren't just new apparel or cool designs, they were a sign of things to come...

"Once the Dark Hole Sessions Vol. 2 DVD was behind us it was onto what we had to offer sonically. We revisited our sounds inception, where we currently stood, and where we wanted to take this thing musically. The reflection helped mature our writing process and craft the songs. If you threw our first CD and Unsaved into a blender you would have "Coat Of Arms", we've exploited what was great about those two records and molded them into one. "Coat Of Arms" was very easy to write, it was almost effortless... it just came together, it basically wrote itself.

"In April of 2008 we began stitching together ideas we had developed during sound checks from past tours and wrote on a weekly basis as a collective at our home studios. We also took a hard look at what we needed to push to the forefront within our songs and sound to really raise the bar and give us our own definitive edge. "Coat Of Arms" is a very appropriate title, we feel this release is truly representative of our sound. It came together in less than 6 months which is light speed for us. Unsaved was almost a four year project, it was kinda ridiculous, really drawn out and perhaps not as honest as it could have been. We were still very young and didn't really know how to write a record together, plus we kept touring off and on which created set backs, it was stop and go for several years. The hurricanes didn't help either... "

"We've completely demoed "Coat Of Arms, its been tracked once front to back and we've been routinely posting clips for fans on a monthly basis to give them something to hear and look forward to and of course provide their input. The fans have been pivotal in the albums development, their response and reaction is really helping us evolve and perhaps put forth our best work. We are in the process now of re recording and doing final tracking for "Coat Of Arms", the sound is simply massive, chock full of thick riffage, distorted beats, heavy synths and big hooks!"

The current track listing is as follows:

1. Coat Of Arms

2. Arm And A Leg

3. Shadows

4. Blood Bags

5. We Fade Forever

6. In Secrecy

7. Breathe For Me

8. The Last Time

9. Scream

10. So Cruel

11. Curtains

DSA NEWS - JUNE 2007

DSA THANK THE FANS
Thanks to all the fans who came out this past April for the "Unsaved Pt. 2 Tour", each and every one of you made the shows an unforgettable experience for DSA. We know you haven't heard much from the band since they've returned from the road, it's only because they're busy working on several projects. The much anticipated second installment to the Dark Hole Sessions continues to be cut with a forthcoming release date.

DARK HOLE SESSIONS VOL. 2 ARTWORK
Dearborn is working on the Dark Hole Sessions artwork which was inspired by a dilapidated haunted hotel they had the luck of staying at on their last tour. This once luxury hotel for the wealthy privileged built in the early 1900's turned brothel and scene of murderous ruin, proved to be an ideal muse for the frontman. It will be featured throughout the new DVD packaging and perfectly fits the Dark Hole Sessions motif.

REMIXES IN THE WORKS
Currently holed up in their respective studios, Dreggs, sKuz, Dearborn, and producer Luis Duran are working on their own Unsaved remixes, conjuring up some slamming songs that they can't wait for you to hear. "I just listened to Dreggs' spin on "Killing Myself Again" and I found myself playing it repeatedly like a mental patient" states Dearborn. We will be sure to keep you posted as to when and where these remixes will be released and available. Thanks again to all the fans worldwide for your continued support!

KORG Endorses sKuz of DSA!

Music gear innovators KORG have recently welcomed sKuz into their exclusive family of endorsed artists which include BT, Pharrell Williams, Moby, Nikki Sixx, Kerry King, Linkin Park, Crystal Method, and many others.

"I was able to talk to the great people at Korg at this year's NAMM convention and showed them a clip of some of my live stage antics. They immediately pulled out a catalog and pointed out the X50 and said that it was the perfect fit for me. I've had a chance to play a couple shows with the keyboard and I must admit, it is extremely powerful, versatile, and most of all, lightweight! I'm happy to be part of the Korg team and look forward to showing off the power of their products." says sKuz

KORG has been an industry leader for over 40 years creating bleeding edge electronics & technologies which include Keyboards, Modules, Software, Controllers, Tuners, Metronomes, DJ Tools and Accessories. Watch out for sKuz's Artist Feature to hit the pages of www.korg.com soon! Don't miss sKuz driving the instrumental chaos with his KORG X50 on DeadStar Assembly's "Unsaved Pt. 2 Tour" of North America this April!
